Simulink unable to connect to Arduino Nano 3.0

I am trying to run a very simple program in simulink but can't get it to connect to my arduino nano. I have read and implimented everything I could find and nothing seems to help. I have the correct COM port and baud rate. I had to switch to the Mega and back in order for it not to say there wasn't enough storage. What am I doing wrong? How do I get it to recognize the nano?
