Documenting ports in a Simulink fixed point model

I am writing documentation for a fixed point model and need to present some text and data about the chosen data types. I would like to use MATLAB/Simulink to provide a list with the input and outputs of a given model together with the inherited data types. Is there a preferred way of doing this in a MATLAB script?
