lags when marking with the keyboard

Hi all.

Hope, this is the right place to post, because I do not know, if it's a bug or not...

I have the problem, that I cannot mark anything in the editor or command window, because matlab then almost instantly starts lagging tremendously.

I can mark stuff using my mouse, but that would be a unwanted workaround. Also using other editors like kwrite is not an option.

I'm using linux mint 64bit and Matlab Version 7.13.0.564 (R2011b).
