Feature request: relative path spec. in autosave file placement preference

Hi! I'd like to be able to set the autosave file placement preference to be a particular subdirectory (e.g., ASV) of the directory in which the main file resides, whichever directory that might be; in other words, I'd like to be able to specify a relative path for where to put the autosave files.

I do not think, that MATLAB Answers is the correct location for a feature request. Did you send it to the MathWorks support?

On the one hand, contacting Technical Support is THE reliable method to make sure an enhancement request is really brought to Development's attention and is consistently counted. On the other hand, MATLAB Answers can be a good source for reasons WHY an enhancment is important to the user base and can give a data point on the quantitative aspect. But I am also struggling how the question / answer format can be used for this.
