Hello,
I want to plot a three dimensional function in a two dimensional plot. The third dimension should be shown in different colors. (High value is red, low value is blue, in between is a gradient.) How should I do this?

You might want to have a look at cline on the File Exchange. I think it does exactly what you're looking for.
