sensor position wdd35 arduino/simulink

I am now working on a reegulation position and speed dc motor. the first system has a speed sensor and I managed to read its value from the arduino / simulink connection using the encoder function.... but the second system has a sensor wdd35 wich give angular position....but I have no idea how to read the sensor values in the same way arduino/simulik because I want the data in a .mat format file
