Error in matlab 13 but not in matlab 10 with respect to imshow

I am getting error as I shown please help me !!

Anoop - what is I and what is N? Presumably the former is the image that you want to show, but what is the latter?

The error message is telling you that the inputs that you are using for the imshow function are no longer valid which may make sense given that there could have been some changes (to this function) from R2010a to R2013a.

Release R2014b is version 8.4. What versions are you talking about with MATLAB 10 and 13? Give release numbers with the years in them.

The error message mentions this as failing command:

imshow('imageupload.jpg', handles.axes1);

So I guess this might work:

imshow('imageupload.jpg', 'Parent', handles.axes1);
