How to save jpeg image of data with custom colormap without using a .fig file?

I have large data (2Gb) that I have troubles plotting with pcolor or surf ?

How can I save an jpeg image of contour map plot like pcolor with my color map ? I cannot plot the pcolor fig file.

Please post your code an explain the occurring troubles. Why can't you plot the pcolor fig file?

What about imwrite?

You don't have a 2 GB screen so it doesn't make sense to try to plot the whole thing with surf. Try subsampling the data and then calling surf on the subsampled data. To save a contour plot, try export_fig.
