How to read data from .m file in GUI?

My GUI would contain one drop-down menu to select the data files. But I don't know how to extract data from m file to GUI

Extracting data from an m file is fairly difficult. M files contain code that could create variables when it is run. Are you sure you don't mean mat files?

My M files contain some transfer function , and I want to extract the coefficient's of numerator and denominator.

You would have to run the script from the gui. Then the variables it creates would exist in the corresponding callback function workspace.
