how to discretize a curve in matlab

Hey guys,

I have a graph of a curve, but I do not have the equation of it. So what I want to do is to discretize this curve within a interval of 0-1 in the x-axis and then use the polyfit command to perform a polynomial approximation of this curve. The problem is how to discretize this curve in a fast way, otherwise it would take me at least one day to catch all those points from the curve.
