Naming xls files corresponding to image in MATLAB

I have number of images in a folder. I have read these images, I am generating sift features and descriptors of these images and writing these in xls files. the only problem here is that i want to name the respective xls file as the name of corresponding image

Let's say your image name has a ".png" in the name, then do

excelFileName = strrep(imageFileName, '.png', 'xlsx');

i am using

dir('*.jpeg')

to get the images from directory,first i want to get the names of all the images then name the same to my excel files

No problem. Just modify it and it should work.

excelFileName = strrep(imageFileName, '.jpeg', 'xlsx');
