i have a DAT file from real measurement how can i get the transfer function in matlab ??

hello everyone !!

i"m dealing with thermal fusion panel,i did a step responce for the heat source and got the graphs but i need to extract the transfer function from DAT file that i got from the target PC .

is it possible to get the transfer function from the DAT file ??

If you simply want the frequency transfer function, and not to identify the system (that requires the System Identification Toolbox):

H = fft(output)./fft(input);

where H is the complex frequency transfer function.

i'm not sure how to do that!!

but the only thing i have right now is a .DAT file and a simulink model
