Segmentation Xray: How can I find the clavicle?

Hi there!

I'm having for the first time Image Processing and Analysis, and I have to do a project: Segmentation of an chest Xray to try to find the clavicle. I need to do an algorithm and its implementation but I have no idea where to start. I read an article about this subject and they use and HDAP algorithm. How can I do this code? And how can I do the pixel classification (PC) with matlab? How can I extract the features? We have to do the segmentation automatically. All the images are in mhd format and we have some masks as well.

First you program up the algorithm in the paper you read -- you do that part by yourself , we don't help with that. Then you can bring us the code and ask for MATLAB programming advice.
