Is it normal for a code with 2 nested for loops to run for more than 2 hours ?

I have a color image and I am using two for loops to separate pixel pairs. Its been running for the past 2 hours. Is it normal ? I have made sure there are no infinite loops.

That depends on the number of iterations and the task done each iteration. You didn't give enough details

I took peppers.png as input and put it in 2 for loops to get pixel pairs using a 4-adjacency neighborhood. Its resolution is '384 by 512'
