extract selected blocks from an image divided into blocks

i resized an image to 196 * 224 and divided it into blocks of size 14*14

now, i wanted to extract only selected patches...

please do reply....

No need to do all that. Just extract the only 3 subimages you want, not all of them, the vast majority of which you'll never use:

imagePatch1 = imagee(1:5, 12:13);
imagePatch2 = imagee(5:8, 4:8);
imagePatch3 = imagee(10:11, 10:11));

I don't understand. You said you wanted the shaded areas: "i wanted to extract only selected patches... the shaded ones as shown" and I gave you code for that. Did you misspeak or did I misunderstand that?

Hopefully someone else will read this and understand, because I don't. I did give you code to get those pixels. You don't have to call them imagePatch if you don't want to - you can call them something else.
