Please review the compatibility tables for your versions of MATLAB and dSPACE carefully.

For MATLAB 2013b you will need dSPACE 2013b, which is ControlDesk 5.1.

Hi, I am also facing this problem. I installed the dSpace release 2015-A with dspace controldesk 5.4. and tried to use with my MATLAB 2013b since that is the compatible one. But it still cannot synch with the MATLAB.
