Implementing a collaborative design environment enables teams to focus on design tasks, encourages the adoption of configuration management tools, and improves knowledge transfer across the organization. This paper describes an effective, collaborative design workflow based on Simulink® Projects, and outlines key challenges engineers face today, such as design partitioning and artifacts management. Best practices for motivating organizations, large and small, to jumpstart team-based development initiatives are also included.
This paper was presented at the AIAA Modeling and Simulation Technologies Conference.
