Senior Application Engineer - Parallel Computing

Does designing and implementing parallel algorithms excite you? Do you enjoy running your code to scale on HPC clusters and in the cloud? We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Application Engineer to work with our Sales and Product Marketing to build out parallel solutions for our key corporate accounts. You'll use your industry experience to collaborate with our users to help build and deploy their parallel code and models to on-prem and in the cloud clusters.

Occasional travel of 10% when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build out proof of concepts for our end users
  • Build implementation plans for our Enterprise accounts to grow adoption of our parallel tools
  • Build industry caliber parallel-enabled demos showcasing our language capabilities
  • Deliver talks on parallel computing and hands-on workshops
  • Provide customer feedback to product development and marketing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Programming experience in MATLAB
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with parallel computing in at least one programming language: MATLAB, C/C++, or Python
  • Programming knowledge with GPU computing is a plus
  • Working knowledge with cloud (AWS/Azure) is a plus
  • Working knowledge with containers (Docker/Apptainer) is a plus
  • Experience with submitting parallel jobs to HPC schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS) is a plus
  • Customer-facing experience is strongly preferred
