Overview
Engineering teams face growing pressure to evaluate more functions, more variants, and more edge cases while reducing physical test effort.
Bridging the gap between test specifications, simulation scenarios, and physical testing remains a challenge, making it difficult to scale validation and maintain consistency across development programs.
In this webinar, we demonstrate a workflow from test specification to executable scenarios, simulation, and real-world correlation. Learn how to transform requirements into validation scenarios, scale testing through scenario variation, and assess results across virtual and physical test environments. Euro NCAP serves as a practical example throughout the session.
Highlights
- Create executable validation scenarios from Euro NCAP test specifications.
- Scale testing through automated scenario variation and edge-case exploration.
- Correlate simulation and proving-ground results to increase confidence in virtual validation.
About the Presenter
Dr. Philipp Hafemann is an application engineer for ADAS/AD in the MathWorks Munich office. His area of expertise is autonomous vehicle development, especially in the sensor and perception domain. Prior to joining MathWorks, he worked as system engineer for autonomous trucks at ZF Friedrichshafen AG. He holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and pursues his Ph.D. in the field of environment perception at Technical University of Munich.
