Low-complexity beam Training for millimetre-wave channels
The MATLAB code for implementing the low-complexity beam training strategies proposed in [1]. The proposed beam training methods rely on the spatial consistency feature of realistic mobile channels. The millimetre-wave channels are generated using the 3GPP TR 38.901 channel model with the spatial consistency Procedure A, as introduced in Section 7 in [2]. The uploaded functions are mainly about performing beam training process where the channel generation is omitted. For demonstration purpose, the channel matrices for 1 simulation run is saved in .mat file and loaded in the simulation (which can be downloaded via Github link https://github.com/Naren920421/Millimeter-Wave-Beam-Training-). The results in the paper are averaged over 500 monte-carlo simulation runs. To reproduce the results, readers are advised to implement the spatial consistency Procedure A themselves, associated with the 3GPP CDL channel model provided by MATLAB.
