Willans map model is used for engine efficiency maps of both Motor and the combustion engine. Power requirements for the motor is estimated by solving the longitudinal dynamics integral equation numerically.
An internal-resistance equivalent circuit model is used to model the battery pack. The HPPC test data is comes from a commercially available Li-Ion cell.
Whee-to-well and Green House gas emissions are calculated for UDDS, HWFET, US06 drive cycles and the engine and the electric machine are sized to fit emission and performance targets.

Car specifications and properties are input from the corresponding Excel files.
