In these files it is reported the SIRD model developed in the manuscript: "Chinese and Italian COVID-19 outbreaks can be correctly described by a modified SIRD model" (doi: 10.13140/RG.2.2.24485.86243 on ResearchGate, or 10.1101/2020.03.19.20039388 on MedRxiv).

The model reported here works on the Italian data but can be easily adjusted to work with other data present on the COVID-19 github repository by Johns Hopkins CSSE.

The Italian data are retrived from official databases, the optimization of the model parameters is performed and the results are displayed.
