Filter banks are a good way of doing joint time frequency analysis. The signal is separately passed through various filters (centered at different frequencies) and then the filtered signals are plotted are plotted) . In this code there are 6 butterworth band pass filter which filter the signal. You can set your own cutoff frequencies by editing the appropriate values.
