This model presents a detailed MATLAB/Simulink model of a 10 MW wind energy conversion system (WECS) based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) and full-scale back-to-back converter.
The model is adapted from the "Wind Farm - Synchronous Generator and Full Scale Converter (Type 4) Detailed Model" and extended to investigate 10MW offshore turbine behaviour, converter topology performance, and grid fault response.
The model is designed to:
- Analyse scaling effects from 2MW to 10 MW wind turbines
- Compare converter topologies for high-power applications
- Investigate dynamic performance under wind variation
- Evaluate behaviour during grid faults (LVRT compliance)
