Protoplanetary disks are composed of gas and dust from which planetary systems ultimately emerge, yet a long-standing puzzle is how small dust particles grow into larger bodies despite frequent destructive collisions. Here, we developed a MATLAB model to simulate the motion of dust particles embeded in the gas disk. In this multi-phase fluid, two parameters are of particular importance: the Stokes number and the Reynolds number.
