This project presents a MATLAB/Simulink model of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) fed Dual Active Bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter for isolated and efficient power conversion.
The system integrates a PV source with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control and a high-frequency isolated DAB converter using phase shift modulation. The model is suitable for renewable energy systems, electric vehicle (EV) applications, and DC microgrids.
Key Features:
- Solar PV modeling with variable irradiance
- MPPT control (Perturb & Observe algorithm)
- Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter topology
- High-frequency transformer isolation
- Phase shift control (Single Phase Shift - SPS)
- Bidirectional power flow capability
- Efficiency estimation and power transfer analysis
- Suitable for 1 kW to 5 kW applications
