Hi
I've created two gears in Autodesk Inventor and am trying to implement them in a 'File Solid' block in Simulink as STEP-files.
However, I get the following error although I have defined the material type in Inventor:
  • ['untitled/File Solid']: The density value was not found in the specified geometry file. Resolve this issue in order to simulate the model.
Can anyone advise as to why Simulink is not reading the density from the STEP-file?
Thanks

This is because you have not set the density for the model in Autodesk Inventor. In the brick module, select "based on custom density" from the "inertia" option.
