Hi,
Polyspace version R2016b/R2018b
After the Polyspace analysis in result list pane currently we are updating comments(Ticket number in fixed format), status, severity for new warnings.
  • Why ticket number?
We will track the status of tickets and update the same in polyspace results.
We currently doing the above steps mannually.
Is there any options to update the comments automatically.

Hi Rajasekaran,
The answer depends on the workflow you are trying to follow. For instance:
[1] Do you want to update a Polyspace comment to stay in sync with the current status of a ticket? So, my understanding is: later when you review Polyspace results, you want to be able to know if it is related to a ticket that has been already addressed (without going to the ticket itself). That is why you want the Polyspace results and tickets to be in sync.
[2] Are you migrating to a new ticketing system and want to mass-migrate all ticket numbers to a new format?
All workflows would involve being able to read the current comment and updating it in the Polyspace results. The second part of this process, namely, updating comments in Polyspace results via an external script, is not directly supported in the product. However, depending on your workflow, the updating can be eased.
You might want to contact MathWorks Technical Support with your specific use-case for better solutions: https://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html
PS: Starting in R2019a, the new products, Polyspace Bug Finder Access and Polyspace Code Prover Access, allow you to link Polyspace results to bug-tracking tools such as JIRA. You can easily go back and forth between a Polyspace result and a JIRA ticket.
