How do I get MatLab to run?

I have bought MatLab today for home use on my Windows machine. The installation seemed Ok. But each time I try to launch it, I'm asked to activate it. The activation process proceeds smoothly and I finish, but then when I try to launch MatLab again, I'm caught in an endless loop of activation. What do I do?

Click on the telephone handset icon in the upper right corner of this page. Click on Contact Support, then Installation Help.

Did that. It's apparently a familiar problem. The support staff walked me through the solution. The problem is that the license file didn't download, or if it did, it went into the wrong folder. Also, the username in the file wasn't identical to the username for the computer account.
