How to make the patches out of satellite image of a particular area?

I need to make the patches out of the satellite image for each class present in an image. I don't want to tile the whole image as I found may answers on google.

I want to extract and make patch of particular class. Do, I need to do it manually or can it be done through matlab also? Because how can I go to a paticular area through matlab?

Please suggest accordingly.

You want to draw a rectangle? Or you want to fill teh rectangle with some color?

I don't want to draw rectangle. I want to take out patch of these rectangles.
