What would be the best way to generate particle tracks in XYZ?

What would be the best way to generate particle tracks in XYZ? I am needing to also be able to use those particles with different Theta and Phi values to get the best projection for a Bragg curve? I also am not sure if 2d planar is better or not? I am trying to generate particles essentially "random" but really its random in a set region to help form the Bragg curve I need.I also need to emit them in all directions( drift points).
