Arduino connection with Matlab R2007b

I successfuly used Arduino with R2011a: Interesting solution!!!

I tried the same in the classroom with R2007b No problem with install_arduino, but with arduino('COM5') I received an error message:

??? Error: File: arduino.m Line: 6 Column: 35 Undefined function or variable 'private'.

Error in ==> StartArd at 10 a=arduino('COM5')

Is it possible to solve the problem on this version R2007b of Matlab or have I to take time to install R2012a on all classrooms?

Did you mean the Simulink Run on Target feature? If yes, this is available on Student Versions starting in R2012a only.

If you meant the Arduino package from MATLAB File Exchange, you can try asking your question via the comments section.

Until no, I only tested communcations between I/O of Arduino and Matlab's workspace. I will try with simulink later. I also put the question on comment section.

 Use pcode to regenerate SampleAcquisitionGUI.p using MATLAB R2007b or later.
