Problem with Simulink Support Package for Apple iOS Devices - Verify Configuration of Your iOS Device

2 views (last 30 days)
I have Matlab 2017b and Xcode Version 9.0 (9A235) (but the problem is present also in 2017a).
In the Setup of "Simulink Support Package for Apple iOS Devices" I passed the step "Create a Provisioning Profile" by building and also running the TestApp by hand in Xcode BUT only after I have solved an issue, by accepting the "Update to recommemded settings" suggestion in Issue Navigator of Xcode and by clicking "Performe changes" button of dialog window. Unfortunately I can not copy and past the list of setting changes listed in the dialog window.
But at the next step of package setup: "Verify Configuration of Your iOS Device" the problem reappers, I think because the setup try the build and run with the old wrong settings. Here an extract from the error message in package setup:
[ !! ] Error 0xe8000087: This application does not support this device's CPU type. AMDeviceSecureInstallApplication(0, device, url, options, install_callback, 0) env -i DEVELOPER_DIR=/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer /Users/sim/[.......]
Of course, if I ignore the setup error, in Simulink deployment step the problem reappers.
Can someone help me ?? Thank you sim

I have the same problem, using an old iphone, like iphone 5c, would solve the problem. I think Simulink hasn't updated to support the new 64bit cpu of iphone.

Indeed, I tried on an iPhone SE. Anyway the solution is the simplest and it is suggested by Xcode itself. If I accept the "Update to recommemded settings", I can succesfully deploy the app to the phone, but I can not do it from Simulink.
