I am developing some new control laws for novel types of rotorcraft. Naturally I am using Simulink for developing the control laws. I am using the "off the shelf" version of X-Plane because I can model new configurations, and X-Plance is alleged to be able to export , via UDB packets the real time rotorcraft response. I know nothing about UDB and would like to contact someone who has made the Simulink/XPlane connection.

Here's a contribution that's worth a try. http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/47144-simulink-xplane10-communication-via-udp
