Why doesn't MATLAB R2025a or R2025b start properly in Trend Micro's security software environment?

I have Trend Micro's security software (e.g. Apex One/Virus Buster) installed on my machine and noticed that MATLAB R2025a does not start up properly. Instead, the MATLAB splash screen appears, followed by a blank screen.

This issue has been reported on both R2025a and R2025b. It can be caused when a machine is running Trend Micro’s security software. This software is designed to block file downloads and protect against virus-like threats. MATLAB web-based applications (that inherently use the executable MATLABWindow.exe) were flagged. After working with Trend Micro we are confident that this behavior is being incorrectly flagged as a result of the way Trend Micro performs the analysis and that the executables are safe to use.
As a workaround, please add the following executables to the Trusted Program List on Trend Micro's security software.
<matlabroot>\bin\win64\<exe>
For example:
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2025a\bin\matlab.exe
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2025a\bin\win64\MATLABWebUI.exe
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2025a\bin\win64\MATLABWindow.exe
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2025a\bin\win64\matlabwindowhelper.exe
Note:
The real-time scan exception setting does not prove effective. Please add the necessary executable to the Trusted Program List on the Trend Micro software directly.
