Refresh Campus-Wide License After Renewal

When your university renews its Campus-Wide License, your users do not need to take any action, in most cases. When users open MATLAB^® after a renewal, they receive a notification that their license has been refreshed. (In older releases of MATLAB, users are prompted to manually refresh their license after a renewal.)

If your license has not been renewed and is about to expire, users see a warning message in MATLAB containing text similar to the following:

Your license will expire in XX days.
Please contact your system administrator or
MathWorks to renew this license.

If a license expires, users lose access to their products. After your university renews the license, the next time users start MATLAB, their license is refreshed and they no longer see this message.

Offline computers require users to manually refresh their license by downloading an updated license file from the License Center. For more details, see Update Your License.
