Add or Remove Visitors on Campus-Wide License
If you have campus visitors or STEM outreach participants who need access to MATLAB® while at your university, you can manually add them to your Campus-Wide License on a temporary basis. You do not need to manually add MATLAB users on your university's email domain to the license. These users are linked to the license when they first sign in. For more details, see Provide Access to MathWorks Products for Campus-Wide License Users.
You must also manually add users to the license for products that do not require MATLAB, such as RoadRunner or MATLAB Parallel Server™.
Add Visitor
To add a visitor or other user to a product on your Campus-Wide License, complete the following steps:
From the License Center, in the license list, click the product license to which you want to add the user. To view these licenses, you must be a license administrator on the Campus-Wide License.
On the Manage Users tab, click Add Users.
Enter the user's name and email address, and click Add User.
(Optional) Email the user to inform them they have been added to the license. Users are not notified automatically. However, if this license is the first license a user has been added to, they receive an email stating that a MathWorks® Account has been created for them.
Click Done and verify that the user appears in the list of users on the license.
Repeat the previous steps to add the user to additional products or to add additional users. To add a large number of users at the same time, contact support.
Remove Visitor
When visitors added to the Campus-Wide License no longer require access to MATLAB, you need to manually remove them from the license. You do not need to remove students, staff, and faculty who are automatically linked to the license through their university email addresses. Your university's single sign-on configuration disables access to students who graduate. Staff and faculty who leave the university have their email addresses deactivated and lose access to the license automatically. You also need to manually remove users added to the license for products that do not require MATLAB, such as RoadRunner or MATLAB Parallel Server.
To remove a visitor or manually added user from a product on your Campus-Wide License, complete the following steps:
Go to the Select a User page in the License Center:
https://www.mathworks.com/licensecenter/users.Search for the user whose access you want to remove.
In the search results, click the user's entry to see the products to which they have access.
For each product, click the Remove User icon
. Then, click Remove
User, followed by Done.
After removing the user from all products, optionally email that user to inform them of the change. Users are not notified automatically. Removed users cannot access the license but might still have access to products until the license expires.
Repeat the previous steps to remove additional users. To remove a large number of users at the same time, contact support.
