Read-only properties of AI-based dipole antennas

The read-only properties of the dipole type AIAntenna are derived from the corresponding properties of a regular dipole antenna. Set these properties in the regular dipole object before creating an AIAntenna from it.

Feed Properties

FeedOffset — Signed distance from center of dipole

Read-only: 0 (default) | real scalar

This property is read-only.

Signed distance from center of dipole, returned as a scalar in meters. The feed location is on yz-plane.

Conductor Properties

ConductorName — Name of conductor

"PEC" (default) | string scalar

Name of the antenna conductor material, returned as a string scalar.

Example: "Copper"

ConductorConductivity — Conductivity of conductor

Inf (default) | positive scalar

Conductivity of the antenna conductor material, returned as a positive scalar in S/m.

Example: 59600000

ConductorThickness — Thickness of conductor

0 (default) | positive scalar

Thickness of the antenna conductor material, returned as a positive scalar in meters.

Example: 3.5560e-05

Alignment Properties

Tilt — Tilt angle of antenna

0 (default) | scalar | vector

Tilt angle of the antenna in degrees, specified as a scalar or vector. For more information, see Rotate Antennas and Arrays.

Example: 90

Example: Tilt=[90 90],TiltAxis=[0 1 0;0 1 1] tilts the antenna at 90 degrees about the two axes defined by the vectors.

Data Types: double

TiltAxis — Tilt axis of antenna

[1 0 0] (default) | three-element vector | 2-by-3 matrix | "X" | "Y" | "Z"

Tilt axis of the antenna, specified as one of these values:

• Three-element vector of Cartesian coordinates in meters. In this case, each coordinate in the vector starts at the origin and lies along the specified points on the x-, y-, and z-axes.

• Two points in space, specified as a 2-by-3 matrix corresponding to two three-element vectors of Cartesian coordinates. In this case, the antenna rotates around the line joining the two points.

• "x", "y", or "z" to describe a rotation about the x-, y-, or z-axis, respectively.

Load Properties

LoadImpedance — Impedance of antenna load

Read-only: "[]" (default) | complex scalar

This property is read-only.

Impedance of the antenna load, returned as a complex scalar in ohms.

LoadFrequency — Resonant frequency of antenna load

Read-only: "[]" (default) | positive scalar

This property is read-only.

Resonant frequency of the antenna load, returned as a positive scalar.

Example: 1e9

LoadLocation — Location of antenna load

"feed" (default) | 1-by-3 real vector

Location of the antenna load, returned as a 1-by-3 vector of Cartesian coordinates in meters. By default, the load is located at the feed location.

Example: [0 1 0]
