Overview
In this session we’ll dive into how a MATLAB app called Mixed-Signal Analyzer streamlines the workflow from Virtuoso ADE to MATLAB. No programming is required. Using circuit examples, we’ll show how to use MATLAB to visualize waveforms, identify trends in the data, set design variables and parameters in Maestro, and automate repetitive tasks. We’ll show how you can leverage surrogate optimization to quickly find an optimal set of design parameters to meet your performance specifications.
Highlights
- Import, analyze, visualize Virtuoso data in MATLAB
- Create custom analysis functions
- Customize trend charts of your metric data
- Automate report generation
- Optimize circuit parameters in Cadence
About the Presenter
Kerry Schutz has worked at Mathworks for over 10 years as a mixed-signal application engineer. He spends most of his time guiding customers develop system-level models of their mixed-signal SoC’s and embedded systems including Data Converters, PLLs, SerDes, and power management ICs leveraging MATLAB and Simulink. Prior to Mathworks, he worked as a DSP engineer and controls engineer in the test & measurement, telecom, and disk-drive industries. He is a frequent YouTube contributor on the MATLAB channel and you can find his playlist by searching within YouTube on the phrase Mixed-Signal System Design.
