Navigating Neuroscience with MATLAB

Overview

You are invited to join MathWorks for this ‘Navigating Neuroscience with MATLAB’ webinar designed specifically for neuroscientists in academic research.

Discover how MATLAB and its extensive ecosystem of third-party packages can empower your work—from advanced data analysis to seamless hardware-software integration. We will walk you through practical strategies for organising your research (such as using labelled and tagged directories) and demonstrate tools like MATLAB Online and rendered Live Scripts. You will learn how to efficiently explore this rich ecosystem, access the resources you need, and accelerate your neuroscience projects.

Highlights

In this session, you’ll be guided through:

  • MathWorks-published runnable examples with Neuroscience data, often on the cloud with MATLAB Online
  • Open-source, MATLAB-based tools for Neuroscience, and how to find and explore them on GitHub and MathWorks File Exchange
  • MATLAB hardware-software integrations from Neuroscience hardware vendors
  • MATLAB Help Center and learning resources - such as Answers (a community forum), Books, and Videos -  covering Neuroscience applications

Who Should Attend

Neuroscientists and supporting research staff at all levels and with any familiarity with MATLAB can expect to learn something new and useful from this webinar.

About the Presenter

Vijay Iyer is a Neuroscience community liaison and lead of the MATLAB Community Toolbox program at MathWorks.  He's worked at the intersection of engineering, neuroscience, and software for over 25 years, using MATLAB as a foundation at every step along the way. Prior to MathWorks, Vijay was a Senior Software Engineer at the HHMI/Janelia Research Campus and the founder of Vidrio Technologies (now part of MBF Bioscience).
