Engineering Innovation with MATLAB and Simulink

Overview

Are you an early-career engineer or a newly hired team member eager to make your mark? Or an engineering student preparing to launch your career in a rapidly evolving industry? Today’s engineering landscape is defined by breakthrough technologies, complex systems, and the urgent need for sustainable solutions.

Organizations worldwide rely on MATLAB and Simulink to design, develop, and operate a wide range of engineered systems including autonomous vehicles, electric cars and aircraft, mobile devices, wireless networks, semiconductors, manufacturing machinery, renewable power systems, smart medical devices, and many more.

Join this session designed for emerging professionals and aspiring engineers. Discover how MATLAB and Simulink can help you transform bold ideas into real-world innovative systems.

Highlights

Engineering encompasses a broad range of skills and expertise essential for building innovative systems. While generative AI is transforming every industry, real breakthroughs happen when domain experts lead the way. As AI rapidly transforms how we prototype, design, and deploy complex systems, one thing is clear: domain expertise is more valuable than ever. The most impactful innovations will come from those who combine deep subject knowledge with the power of AI-driven tools.

MATLAB and Simulink enable users to move from concept to hardware or cloud deployment within a single environment. The platform supports collaboration across disciplines and connects every stage of development, while also integrating with Python, Jupyter, VS Code, and cloud platforms to leverage both open-source and industry-proven tools.

Learn how you can:

  • Go from concept to product in a single environment
  • Improve productivity using generative AI
  • Integrate AI and machine learning into physical systems
  • Automatically generate production-quality C, C++, HDL, and CUDA code
  • Verify and validate requirements to ensure quality and compliance, even in highly regulated industries

Please allow approximately 45 minutes to attend the presentation and Q&A session. We will be recording this webinar, so if you can't make it for the live broadcast, register and we will send you a link to watch it on-demand.

About the Presenter

Yann Debray is a technical marketing manager at MathWorks focusing on AI. He creates hands-on content—blog posts, tutorials, and demos—that translate features into guidance for engineers, including integrating with languages like Python, AI frameworks like PyTorch and dev environments like VSCode. Previously, Yann worked in an open-source scientific computing startup called Scilab. He holds an Engineering Master’s from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and is the author of a book on MATLAB with Python.

Kevin Cohan is a technical marketing manager at MathWorks, where he creates content to help engineers, researchers, and students get the most out of MATLAB. Drawing on his engineering background, he translates complex product information into clear, actionable guidance for users. Previously, Kevin served as a product marketing manager at Mentor Graphics and as a hardware design engineer at Raytheon's Missile Systems Division. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
