The Smart Model Car Contest challenges student teams to design, build, and race model cars with intelligent car technology (ICT)—the same technology that engineers use to develop safety and efficiency systems for anti-lock braking and computerized engine management. Applying Model-Based Design with MATLAB and Simulink lets your team efficiently develop control, signal processing, image and video processing, mechatronics, and embedded systems to complete its mission.
MathWorks provides software for participating students to use MATLAB and Simulink for their smart model car. The students who use MATLAB and Simulink submit reports on how they utilize the tools for developing the model cars. MathWorks gives prizes for three teams based on the time-lap and report score.
