Target Support Package Development for In-House Prototyping ECU
Chaitali Nilawar, Tata Motors Limited
Geetanjali Khot, Tata Motors Limited
This presentation focuses on how Tata Motors develops and uses target support packages (TSPs) in a hybrid control strategy model and generates code in a single step in the Simulink® environment. The code was flashed in the in-house controller and successfully used in a hybrid vehicle.
TSPs reduce complexity and development time of automotive software, thus allowing rapid prototype development. Developing TSPs in-house has eliminated cost and dependency on the market for purchasing ready-made prototyping ECUs or TSPs. It has enabled the use of a model-based software design approach for prototyping ECUs developed at Tata Motors.
