Hi everyone, I was trying to install Matlab 2015a into mac. The OS X is Yosemite 10.10.4. I can't open 'InstallForMacOSX'. It says 'PowerPC applications are no longer supported' as the graph shown.
My Java version is 6. I don't know how to solve this problem. Is there any buddy knowing how to solve it? Thanks.

Did you search for Yosemite and find a bazillion other questions on it? http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/?term=tag%3A%22yosemite%22 Look for the ones posted by the Mathworks people.

Sorry, no. I don't have a Mac with MATLAB on it. Really, the best people to give advice are at the Mathworks. There are so many reasons why something won't work that we can't know all of them here. They have a lot more resources than us. And if you tried all the usual fixes and patches mentioned in the posts , then you must have something really quite unusual and bizarre that no one here will be able to help you with. So that's why you need to call them. They can control your computer via Webex to get it working. Like it says in the FAQ, it will be free for all versions.

Had the same problem, and i fixed it by mounting the iso file trough the terminal.
