M8190A Waveform Generator Support from Instrument Control Toolbox

Create your own arbitrary waveforms, measurement and analysis routines, and instrument applications for the Keysight M8190A using MATLAB and Instrument Control Toolbox.

MATLAB supports communication with the Keysight® (formerly Agilent®) M8190A arbitrary waveform generator through Instrument Control Toolbox.

Use MATLAB and Instrument Control Toolbox with the Keysight M8190A arbitrary waveform generator to:

  • Create your own arbitrary or standard waveforms for the Keysight M8190A including multitones, pulsed radar, and multicarriers.
  • Perform waveform predistortion and amplitude correction to these signals.
  • Automate the generation of these waveforms directly from MATLAB.
  • Develop GUI-based instrument applications for your M8190A and other hardware.
  • Configure and control this instrument together with other hardware as part of a complete test system.

You may choose to configure, control, and interface with the M8190A using MATLAB either through the SCPI interface or through an IVI®-COM instrument driver.

Various M8190A application examples, videos, and resources created by Agilent, Keysight, and MathWorks are available below.

MATLAB and Instrument Control Toolbox are available from MathWorks. Keysight (formerly Agilent) customers purchasing the M8190A may also order MATLAB software packages directly from Keysight by ordering the Keysight N6171A MATLAB option at time of instrument purchase. Customers who purchase this option receive access to the modifiable version of IQTools, which is an example application from Keysight for using MATLAB with your M8190A.
