MATLAB Certification Exam Now Offered in Korea

Seoul, Korea (Republic Of) - (7 Apr 2014)

MathWorks, maker of MATLAB and Simulink, today announced for the first time that its MATLAB certification exam will be offered in Korea. The exam will be administered in English twice this year, on May 30th and October 1st. Both exams will take place at MathWorks Korea education room located in Samsung-dong, Seoul. Details of the exam can be found at mathworks.com/certification.

MATLAB certicification can be achieved on two levels – a MathWorks Certified MATLAB Associate (MCMA) and MathWorks Certified MATLAB Professional (MCMP). Certification at the associate level must be obtained prior to applying for the professional level. Only the associate level exam will be offered in Korea in 2014.

Exam participants are given 90 minutes to complete 50 multiple choice questions. Among the topics addressed in the exam are data generation and access, graph generation, function, script composition and others. A MATLAB Fundamentals course or equivalent experience in MATLAB are the prerequisites to apply for the exam.

“MathWorks is pleased to offer its MATLAB certification exam to users in Korea,” said Jay Lee, general manager of MathWorks Korea. “We highly recommend those users meeting the prerequisites apply for the exam because certification can positively impact a range of opportunities such as study abroad programs and professional employment.”
